YES! @NotTildaSwinton is perfectly witchy! it’s funny, you can read the whole thing and it does toe that line between parody and genuine reverence for what it’s (lovingly) making fun of. i’m all for being part of the flock of tildren!

Mists of Avalon = do it! i should host a reading group or book club or something.

I was recently reminded of @NotTildaSwinton and I went and re-read the whole thing. Just the right amount of witchiness for me! It’s in that fascinating area where it’s perfectly poised between funny, beautiful, scary, and (for lack of a better word) genuinely “religious” for me. The fact that a parody celebrity twitter account can do that is kind of amazing.

I keep looking at The Mists of Avalon on my shelf and thinking, “is today the day?” Soon.

hi eadaoin! thank you so much for visiting — always so great to hear from the secretly and lapsed witchy types! i think i am definitely more attuned to the more mystic side of things when i’m closer to nature for sure, but there is certain music and art that put me in that state, for sure.

Hello, this is my first visit to your blog and I really enjoyed reading this post! I too had a pagan teenagehood, called myself Wiccan and joined a witchy aunt and her community to celebrate the pagan festivals. Since I moved to the city 10 years ago, my connection to spirituality has faded somewhat, but like you I still have a witchy part of my character. It was great to read you articulate that, and for your words to resonate with my own feelings on that part of my life. X
